Man Shot After Fight in Triangle Area

The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, Prince William County Police said.

Prince William County Police are searching for leads after man was shot during a fight in the Triangle area on Saturday morning, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. 

Police responded to the 3600 block of Wharf Lane at 3:06 a.m., after a 28-year-old man, of no fixed address, was shot in his lower body. After four known acquaintances were fighting in the area, an unknown man approached the group and shot the man, Perok said. 

The victim's injuries were not life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police do not believe the incident was random. 

Police are searching for a black male, 6'1"-6'3" tall, with short hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black shirt, burgundy and yellow hat, and dark jeans. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS.
