At 3:28 a.m. Sunday, Virginia State Police were called to the scene in the southbound lanes of I-95, just south of Exit 163 for Lorton.

Witnesses told police that the shuttle bus was traveling south on I-95 when the speeding sedan swerved into the bus’s lane, according to state police spokesperson Corinne Geller.

Information on the fatality and more information on the shuttle bus was not yet available Sunday morning.

All southbound lanes of I-95 were open as of 8 a.m., according to Geller.
