Police: Armed Suspects Locked Party Guests Inside, Pointed Guns at Woman

The suspects searched guests, looking for a cell phone that was taken, Prince William County Police said.

A man and a woman locked the doors at a Woodbridge party, searched the guests, and then pointed their guns at a female guest, Prince William County Police said.

Brittany Lashae Clark, 26, of Delaney Road in Woodbridge, and Jonathan Hamm, 19, of Hackwood Drive in Woodbridge are both charged with abduction and brandishing a firearm.

Police responded at 12:13 am. Sunday to the 14700 block of Hackwood Street, after an 18-year-old woman reported the incident. She told police that she was at the party when Clark and Hamm locked the doors and pulled out handguns.

Both Clark and Hamm began to search guests, looking for a cell phone that was taken during the party, said police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

"Eventually, the suspects let the guests go, including the victim," Perok said in a press release. "The victim then got into her vehicle and was driving to the police station to report the incident when the accused suspects began to follow her."

Officers found everyone at the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Donald Curtis Drive.

Hamm and Clark were arrested after an investigation. They are held without bond pending an Aug. 21 court date.
