Police Chase Driver of Stolen Vehicle Near Springwoods Drive

Police were unable to find the driver. The vehicle was later found near Knightsbridge Drive and Plymbridge Lane.

Police are on the lookout for the former driver of a stolen vehicle after a police car chase on March 19 shortly after 7 p.m, according to Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.Β 

A PWC police officer was running license plates in the area of Old Bridge Road and Springwoods Drive in Lake Ridge when he found a license plate belonging to a stolen vehicle, the police report said.

The driver reportedly ignored the officer's lights and siren and drove on to the area of Marquis Place, where he managed to elude police pursuit. Police officers later found the vehicle near Knightsbridge Drive and Plymbridge Lane, but the driver had disappeared.

K-9 and a Fairfax County police helicopter were dispatched to find the driver. The vehicle was reportedly stolen from someone in Fairfax County. No one has been reported injured and no property has been damaged.Β 

Police are looking for a black male, 5'8", 155 lbs, with long hair that might be in dreadlocks. He was described as wearing a "white t-shirt, black pants, and a black backpack," according to the police report.
