Prince William County Police have charged Triangle resident Joseph Nathanael Williams, 24, with assaulting a police officer after the officer was reportedly assaulted at Tacketts Mill Shopping Center on March 2, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

The officer was reportedly patrolling the shopping center at 2219 Old Bridge Road at about 9:15 p.m. on March 2 when he found Williams, determined that he was wanted, and tried to arrest him.
