Teen Abducted, Robbed

Three Dale City men were arrested over the weekend for armed robbery and abduction of a Woodbridge teen in Lake Ridge after the teen responded to an online sneaker ad.

On July 29 and 30, three Dale City men were arrested for armed robbery against and abduction of a Woodbridge teen, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

The victim, a 17-year-old male, told police that he went to the 12400 block of Hedges Run Drive just after 5:30 p.m. on July 29 in response to an online sneaker ad. When he arrived, he met an unknown man and then got into a vehicle with three unknown men.

One of the men then reportedly pulled out a gun and robbed the teen of his money and cell phone.

After investigation, police arrested Reco Mullins, 18, Devante Lumbra-Dixon, 19, and Michael Hughes, 24. 

"Mullins and Lumbra-Dixon were arrested on July 29 near the Cloverdale 7-11, while Hughes was taken into custody on July 30 at his residence," the police report read.

After a search of Hughes' home, police found the handgun used in the robbery. Police also seized a computer found at Mullins' home.

"All were charged with robbery, abduction, and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony," the report read. 

The court date is Sept. 14. Mullins and Hughes were held with a $5000 secured bond, and Lumbra-Dixon was held without bond.
