Two Attempted Burglaries in Lake Ridge a Couple Blocks Apart

On July 8, two attempted burglaries were reported within a couple blocks of each other in Lake Ridge.

On July 8, a homeowner in the 3100 block of Yale Court in Lake Ridge reported an attempted burglary that happened sometime between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. that same day, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok. The homeowner told police that someone had tried to force his or her way in through a kitchen window in the rear of the house. The burglar did not break in because the window could not be fully opened. No items were missing.

Also on July 8, a homeowner in the 12100 block of Winona Drive in Lake Ridge reported an attempted burglary that occurred between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The homeowner told police that someone had tried to break in through a rear door. Since the residents were home, the burglar was not successful. No items were missing.
