Woodbridge Man Charged With Assaulting Dumfries Man in Lake Ridge

Noble Drew Ali has been charged with assaulting a Dumfries man by punching him in the face.

Noble Drew Ali, 26, of Woodbridge, has been arrested and charged with breaking and entering and assault and battery after a violent incident in the early morning hours of June 11, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

Ali allegedly came to the front yard of a residence in the 12800 block of Hunterbrook Drive in Lake Ridge. When he was told to leave, he reportedly punched a 25-year-old Dumfries male acquaintance in the face.

The victim tried to escape by going inside and locking the door. Ali reportedly then kicked in the door and continued to attack the Dumfries man. The victim reported that, in their struggle, the two crashed through the glass of a sliding door in the back of the house.

By the time the police responded at 1:16 a.m., the two men were no longer fighting. The victim had sustained non-life threatening injuries, according the the police report, and had to be taken to a local hospital.

Ali was arrested and charged with breaking and entering into an occupied residence, and assault and battery. His court date is August 12 and he is being held without bond.
