Zales Employee Accused of Embezzling $80K in Jewelry

Employee charged with felony embezzlement and possession of stolen property.

Prince William County Police have charged a Zales employee with embezzling nearly $80,000 worth of jewelry from the store at Potomac Mills Mall.

Persephone Laportia Foushee, 26, of Governors Court in Woodbridge, is charged with felony embezzlement and possession of stolen property.

After three months of investigation, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on July 19. They recovered several pieces of jewelry, said police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. Officers arrested Foushee without incident the same day.

Foushee's court date is set for Sept. 3.
