County Delegation Meets with Business Leaders in China
Mission established relationships with business leaders in China, county reports.
A delegation from Prince William County, lead by Chairman At-Large of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors Corey Stewart, has returned from China.
"The opportunity for the trade mission was catalyzed by interest among the Chinese business community in the unique public-private partnership between [George Mason University], the County and private sector interests that gave rise to Innovation Technology Park and the advanced research and business growth occurring there," according to a release from the government.
Stewart was asked by George Mason University—the organizer and funder of the delegation—to serve as the lead for the delegation, the release said.

“Business leaders throughout the globe are looking toward the United States for a stable investment environment, even more so now in these uncertain economic times,” Stewart said. “Prince William County’s Triple-AAA bond rating, talented workforce, and strong track record of consistent employment and business growth position the County well to compete for these opportunities to attract international businesses and foreign direct investment.”
Stewart said the "mission provided us with an excellent opportunity to establish relationships with business leaders in China and allowed us to position Prince William County as a competitive and profitable location for international investment.”
