Summa Cum Laude Graduates Honored

Students with a grade point average of 4.0 or higher were recognized for their academic achievement.

Over 400 seniors will be graduating summa cum laude from Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) this month, with scholastic success stories coming from every PWCS high school. Students earn the distinction of summa cum laude by attaining a grade point average of 4.0 or higher, a score that is obtained by receiving top grades through all four years of high school.

The summa cum laude graduates were recognized at a School Division ceremony held at the Hylton Performing Arts Center on June 6. School Board Chairman At-Large Milton C. Johns, School Board member Don Richardson (Gainesville), Superintendent Steven L. Walts, members of the Superintendent’s staff, and high school principals and administrators attended.

“The students we are honoring this evening have invested hours, days, and years in pursuit of academic excellence,” said Walts. “These students have reached for a very high goal and achieved it.” “These summa cum laude scholars are an inspiration to all of us. They represent our World-Class Education,” said Johns, addressing the audience. The students and their schools are listed below.
