Christmas Bazaar, Mile for Maddie, Health Insurance Marketplace Info and More This Week

Monday is Veterans Day.

Get your questions about the Health Insurance Marketplace answered at an information session this week. The session is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Greater Prince William Community Health Center on 4379 Ridgewood Center Drive, Suite 102 in Woodbridge. The event is free. 

Mile for Maddie. Walk to support a 12-year-old girl who was diagnosed with t-cell lymphoma. Maddie Brunner was diagnosed earlier this year. Friends will walk for her at the Manassas Park High School track at 3 p.m. Saturday at 8200 Euclid Ave. in Manassas Park.

Christmas Bazaar. The VFW Post 1503 is hosting a Christmas Bazaar. Buy Christmas decorations, gift sets, toys and more. The event is at 9 a.m. Saturday at the post on 14631 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge. 

The Dar alNoor Islamic Community Center is hosting an open house from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The open house is part of the Prince William Public Library System’s “Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys” program. Register for the event online. 

The Lorton Community Action Center is hosting their Service Stroll from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Workhouse Arts Center on 9601 Ox Road in Lorton. Take a walk at the arts center then drop in for the Home for Dinner Exhibition, which features the work of local elementary school students. Their works detail what “home for dinner” meets for them, according to the LCAC’s website. Register online.
