Santa Claus arrives by boat. Dec. 7, noon. Mamie Davis Park, Occoquan. Santa will dock near Mamie Davis Park and then walk to Town Hall, where he will visit with children. Free.
Rippon Lodge Christmas. Dec. 7, 5 p.m. Rippon Lodge, 15520 Blackburn Road, Woodbridge. Take a guided candlelight tour, visit with Santa, learn about holiday traditions from the past, and have music and cider. $10 per person. Children younger than 6 free.
Inova Blood Drive. Dec. 7, 10 a.m. Chinn Park Regional Library, 13065 Chinn Park Drive, Woodbridge. Appointments given priority, but walk-ins welcome. Free. Bring a photo ID.
Red carpet showcase of Prince William authors. Dec. 7, 2 p.m. 9330 Brandon Street, Manassas. Free, refreshments provided.
