The photos are from stores in the Woodbridge area, where the suspects used credit cards reported stolen in the robberies, police said. Police responded to the first incident at Sunday at 8 a.m., when a 37-year-old Woodbridge man reported that he was robbed. The victim said that he made arrangements to meet an unknown woman near Gardenview Loop and Summerland Drive. After he arrived, he found the woman with a man who demanded that the victim hand over car keys and money. The man and the woman took the victim's cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled with his Toyota SUV. The victim was not injured. Around 1:07 p.m…

The suspect in a February assault case led police on a wild car chase Friday morning, nearly hitting two police officers and crashing into an occupied vehicle, Prince William County Police said. Christopher Blakeney, 29, of Bellau Woods Drive in Triangle, is now wanted on multiple charges, including attempted malicious wounding of a law enforcement officer, according to police. Prince William County officers and members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force were trying to serve warrants on Blakeney at 8:35 a.m., when they saw him getting into a car. A group of men assaulted a Woodbridge man early Wednesday morning near Veterans Park, Prince William County Police said. Police responded at 5:31 a.m. to the incident, which occurred earlier that morning near Featherstone Road and Sycamore Street in Woodbridge. A 24-year-old Woodbridge man reported that he met a group of men near Veterans Park and they assaulted him. They knocked the victim to the ground and went through his pockets, but nothing was stolen. The group dispersed after the assault, but the victim was significantly injured. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Prince William County Police recently responded to the following burglaries in the local area. 17500 block of Victoria Falls Drive, Dumfries: A homeowner reported at 3:10 p.m. that a burglary occurred between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Two unknown males, who appeared to be underage, entered a neighbor's residence through a rear sliding glass door. The glass was broken out and the suspects stole food from the home, police said. Officers were able to identify the suspects involved, but the investigation continues. 17300 block of Sligo Loop, Dumfries: A homeowner reported that jewelry, shoes, two iPads, two TVs and other property, valued around $7,600, were stolen. Vienna Jean Brooks, 74, of Maryland Avenue in Woodbridge, is charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, assault and battery on rescue official, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice. Brooks was not involved in the original dispute, which police responded to on Tuesday at 4:50 p.m. Members of the Fire and Rescue Department—who were already on scene at the time—reported that they had approached the home to assist someone allegedly injured during the incident. Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortion doctor who made nationwide headlines for killing babies born alive during procedures at his clinic, was also sentenced Wednesday for the 2009 death of a Woodbridge woman. Gosnell—who has already received several life sentences—received two and a half to five years in prison for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Karnamaya Mongar, according to NBC Philadelphia. Prosecutors said that negligence on Gosnell's part, and the fact that untrained, unlicensed staff dispatched the anesthesia, led to Mongar's death at the Women's Medical Society in Philadelphia. The Prince William County Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit will host a security seminar for faith-based organizations on May 30. Police will provide information on how to create a safer house of worship at the free seminar, which will take place from 9 a.m.-noon at the Western District Station, 8900 Freedom Center Blvd., Manassas. Topics will include crime prevention, how to plan for critical incidents, the Department’s “Worship Watch” program, and an overview of a successful security plan, according to police. These animals need to be shot with a gun as they are trying to harm or kill other people. Will never understand why we treat these harmful people with love and understanding. Criminals need to be treated as criminals when they try to kill other people while trying to escape JUSTICE.   more ›
