On Friday, Occoquan received a visit from Gerald Dickens, the great, great grandson of esteemed author Charles Dickens. Dickens performed a live solo rendition of his great, great grandfather's tale of A Christmas Carol to a sold out crowd at the fittingly appropriate location, the Ebenezer Church located on Washington St. Presented by the Golden Goose, owner LaVerne Carson has been hosting Dickens for his seasonal readings since 1993, which is the year that commenced the 150 year anniversary of when A Christmas Carol was first published in England in 1843.
