Police have charged a man of no fixed address with abduction and assault and battery after a woman was reportedly assaulted and forced into a back bedroom in a Woodbridge house, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. A Newport News man is wanted by police after a Woodbridge woman was reportedly locked in her hotel room in an attempted abduction, Prince William County police spokesperson Ericca Figueroa said. Prince William County Police have charged a local man in relation to a recent assault on a cleaning woman at a Woodbridge Econo Lodge. Clarence Olutayo Olowu, 28, of Center Lane in Occoquan, was arrested on Nov. 20 and charged with abduction and assault and battery. The 39-year-old woman reported that she was cleaning a room at the motel on Nov. 18, when a strange man walked inside the room and closed the door. The man grabbed the victim, but she defended herself and he fled. Police released images from the surveillance video, which the man involved. Olowu's court date is set for Jan. 25. On Oct. 19, police arrested John Liveris, 33, and charged him with abduction and domestic assault and battery after a 23-year-old Woodbridge woman told police that he had allegedly struck her and shut her in a basement room to keep her from calling police. Police responded at 6:50 a.m. on Oct. 19 to Liveris' house in the 2000 block of Pilgrim Drive in Lake Ridge. The victim told police that she and the accused, an acquaintance of hers, were in a verbal argument. On Aug. 13, police arrested and charged Lake Ridge resident Miguel Hernandez, 45, with sexual battery and abduction after Hernandez was accused of grabbing a Manassas woman at a Woodbridge pool near Lake Ridge, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok. Three Dale City men were arrested over the weekend for armed robbery and abduction of a Woodbridge teen in Lake Ridge after the teen responded to an online sneaker ad.
On July 29 and 30, three Dale City men were arrested for armed robbery against and abduction of a Woodbridge teen, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok. The victim, a 17-year-old male, told police that he went to the 12400 block of Hedges Run Drive just after 5:30 p.m. on July 29 in response to an online sneaker ad.
