Victim, 13, has minor injury to his arm in classroom incident, Prince William County Police said.
Police have charged a Fred Lynn Middle School teacher with assault after a student told school officials that he had been assaulted in class on Tuesday, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. Curtis Craig Smith, 61, of Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with assault and battery Wednesday, after School Resource Unit officers investigated the assault report. Investigators claim Smith assaulted the victim, a 13-year old boy of Woodbridge, during class, Perok said. Police have charged a man of no fixed address with abduction and assault and battery after a woman was reportedly assaulted and forced into a back bedroom in a Woodbridge house, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. Prince William County Police have charged a local man in relation to a recent assault on a cleaning woman at a Woodbridge Econo Lodge. Clarence Olutayo Olowu, 28, of Center Lane in Occoquan, was arrested on Nov. 20 and charged with abduction and assault and battery. The 39-year-old woman reported that she was cleaning a room at the motel on Nov. 18, when a strange man walked inside the room and closed the door. The man grabbed the victim, but she defended herself and he fled. Police released images from the surveillance video, which the man involved. Olowu's court date is set for Jan. 25. An employee at the Econo Lodge reported that a man tried to assault her as she was cleaning a room.
A woman reported that a man assaulted her as she was cleaning a room at a local hotel Sunday morning, Prince William County Police said. The 39-year-old victim reported that an unknown man walked into the room, closed the door and grabbed her. However, she was able to defend herself and the suspect fled. She did not report any injuries. Police responded to the incident at the Econo Lodge on Gordon Boulevard at 9:20 a.m. and found surveillance footage of the suspect. He is described as a male, between 28 and 35 years old, about 5'11", black, with an earring in his left year and a moustache. He was wearing a black, zipped-up hooded sweatshirt, black watch cap and black jeans.

A Woodbridge man was taken to a local hospital after he was struck in the head with a vase during a verbal argument that escalated out of control, Prince William County police reports show. Cynthia Lynn Haag, 44, of the 11400 block of Bacon Race Road in Woodbridge is charged with malicious wounding and domestic assault and battery. A Dale City man tried to strangle a Dumfries woman after they got into an argument Saturday evening, Prince William County Police said. Alimamy Fornah, 25, of Cloverdale Road in Dale City, was charged with strangulation and assault and battery. Police responded to the incident on the 15100 block of Cloverdale Road on Oct. 20 at 9:35 p.m. The 26-year-old woman reported that she was involved in an argument with Fornah when it escalated, and he assaulted her. The U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested a Dale City man in relation to an attempted abduction and hit-and-run in Woodbridge in September. Brandon William Skinner of the 14600 block of Darbydale Ave., was charged with assault and battery, attempted abduction, and hit and run. Police said that Skinner and a 26-year-old Woodbridge woman were involved in an argument in front of a residence around 11:44 p.m. on the 3600 block of Felmore Ct. on Sept. 8. Skinner allegedly assaulted the woman and tried to force her to get in the back seat of a vehicle. A friend of the woman helped her get free, police said.
