Dion Phoenix turned himself in Jan. 31, two days after the reported incident in Dumfries.
Police have arrested a man in connection with the Jan. 29 reported abduction attempt of a Woodbridge woman at a Super 8 Motel in Dumfries, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. Dion Langley Phoenix, 21, is charged with abduction, burglary andpossession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. On Jan. 31, Phoenix turned himsel in to police at the Garfield District Station in Woodbridge. In the Jan. 29 incident, a 32-year-old Woodbridge woman told police that an unknown man broke into her room, locked the door and did not allow her to leave. The victim managed to call the police while the man was distracted. Phoenix has no fixed address. His court date and bond information are unavailable.

A woman was out walking her dog Saturday morning when a man reportedly tried to abduct her, Prince William County Police said. Police responded to the incident at 8:27 a.m. to the incident on the 13960 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge, just behind the Rodeway Inn. The 46-year-old woman reported that she was walking her dog in the lot adjacent to the rear of the Inn when an unknown man approached her. He grabbed her shoulder, but she was able to pull away. The man fled without saying a word. The victim did not report any injuries. The suspect was described as a male between 30 and 35 years old, Hispanic, about 5'7", around 175-180 pounds, with shoulder-length, unkempt hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a …

Brandon William Skinner, 28, of Dale City, was charged in relation to a September hit-and-run.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested a Dale City man in relation to an attempted abduction and hit-and-run in Woodbridge in September. Brandon William Skinner of the 14600 block of Darbydale Ave., was charged with assault and battery, attempted abduction, and hit and run. Police said that Skinner and a 26-year-old Woodbridge woman were involved in an argument in front of a residence around 11:44 p.m. on the 3600 block of Felmore Ct. on Sept. 8. Skinner allegedly assaulted the woman and tried to force her to get in the back seat of a vehicle. A friend of the woman helped her get free, police said. Woodbridge resident Brandon Skinner, of Darbydale Avenue, is wanted for attempted abduction and a hit and run, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. Police initially responded to Felmore Court at 11:44 p.m. Sept. 8 for a domestic disbute. "The victim, a 26-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation, in front of the residence, which escalated," Perok said.
