Prince William County Police are investigating a recent Woodbridge burglary, where the thieves made off with over $7,000 worth of valuables. Police responded Tuesday at 3:52 p.m. to the 2700 block of Alton Hotel Court, where the homeowner reported that the burglary occurred between 7:55 a.m. and 3 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry, police said. They believe entry was made through an unlocked door. The valuables reported missing include jewelry, two laptops, a cell phone, a gaming console and other items.

Another Woodbridge homeowner found a rear sliding glass door open and an interior lamp turned on, according to Prince William County Police.
Prince William County Police responded to two recent reports of burglaries in the Woodbridge area. Police responded on Friday to the 1500 block of Grosbeak Court, where a homeowner reported that a burglary occurred between 2:30 p.m. April 22 and 11:26p.m. on April 26. There were no signs of forced entry, and police believe the intruder entered through a basement window. The homeowner reported jewelry, two TVs, three gaming consoles, and other electronics, missing. They were valued around $1,800. Police have charged three Woodbridge area residents in a grand larceny investigation after a Dale City homeowner reported the loss of a firearm, laptop, gaming console and jewelry, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. Matthew Redding, 24, of South River Road, was charged with burglary, grand larceny, grand larceny of a firearm, and providing a false identity to police. Ashley Milstead, 27, of Kendale Court, was charged with burglary and grand larceny. Brian Richardson, 21, of Florida Avenue was charged with receiving stolen goods and receiving a stolen firearm. The burglar most likely got in by breaking a window, Prince William County Police said.
A burglar recently broke into Potomac View Elementary School and stole a laptop, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. Police responded on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. to the report of a burglary. "Security reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11 p.m. on April 19 and 9:20 p.m. on April 20," Perok said. Another point to bring up, if you have a security system use it even if you are home.
