Del. Lingamfelter Joins Corey Stewart in Lieutenant Governor Race
Republican L. Scott Lingamfelter will be going up against Prince William Board of County Supervisors chair Corey Stewart.
Del. L. Scott Lingamfelter (R-31) filed paperwork with the State Board of Elections to join the 2013 race for lieutenant governor, the Washington Post reports. Lingamfelter will face off against Corey Stewart, chairman of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, who announced his candidacy in April, in the GOP primary next year. Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling (R) is running for governor. No Democrats have officially announced their candidacies for the position.
