Santa passed through Lake Ridge this morning, not in a sleigh drawn by reindeer, but in an Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department engine. Were you at the parade? Santa was at the end of the annual parade, which started at Lake Ridge Middle School at about 10 a.m. and made its way west to Dillingham Square. Local schools, churches, and elected officials also made appearances alongside police officers mounted on horseback, antique cars, and a boy on a unicycle. The parade shut down the westbound side of Old Bridge Road, which clogged traffic on the eastbound side as both eastbound and westbound traffic shared one side of the road.
