Most Rev. Paul S. Loverde says decision reflects "spirit of serenity."

Pope Benedict XVI decision to resign at the end of the month reflects a spirit of serenity, according to the Most Rev. Paul Loverde, Bishop of Arlington. “As I reflect on the life and ministry of Pope Benedict XVI, I am unfailingly impressed by his serenity; a quiet, peaceful yet certain manner of speaking and acting," Loverde said in a statement Monday.
