A new Columbia Sportswear Outlet recently opened at Potomac Mills Mall, according to a post on the Potomac Mills Facebook page. The outlet will sell clothing and accessories designed for fishing, hunting, hiking, and other outdoor activities. There are only two other Columbia Sportswear Outlets in Virginia: one near Leesburg and one near Williamsburg. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay will open Bobby's Burger Palace on May 21.
Bobby's Burger Palace, originally set to open at Potomac Mills Mall in late 2012, will now open on May 21, according to a Bullfrog & Baum Public Relations release. “Bobby’s Burger Palace offers 10 signature burgers, made with Certified Angus Beef, ground turkey or chicken breast, and a wide variety of sides including beer battered onion rings, milkshakes and more,” mall management wrote in a press release. Bobby's Burger Palace, a restaurant owned by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, will be the third restaurant to open in the Potomac Mills Mall parking lot. Easter Sunday holiday hours and business closings.
Easter is March 31, 2013, and several Woodbridge area businesses (including the area's largest mall) will be recognizing the holiday with special hours or by closing for the day. Potomac Mills Outlet Mall will be closed (check with stores with their own entrances for individual hours). Prince William County Libraries will be closed. Pet Nutrition Center at Dillingham Square will be closed. Gold's Gym at Dillingham Square will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The kids zone will be closed and there will be no GGX classes. The new Vera Bradley Outlet at Potomac Mills Mall will open March 29, according to a post on the mall's Facebook page. The only other Vera Bradley Outlet in Virginia is at the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets. However, many stores in the area sell Vera Bradley merchandise, including Lake Ridge Nursery. The 17-year-old Woodbridge male was arrested March 1, Prince William County Police said.
Police have charged two teens, including a 17-year-old Woodbridge male, with rape after a young girl, 13, reported being sexually assaulted in a car in the Potomac Mills Mall parking lot, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. Special Victims Unit detectives began investigating the assault on March 1, a day after it reportedly occurred. "The investigation revealed that the victim, a 13-year-old female of Falls Church, was staying with a male friend at his address in Woodbridge," Perok said. "Later that evening, the victim, a friend, and another male drove to a parking lot in the above area where the two males raped her. It's the first Bahama Breeze to open in Virginia.
Virginia's first Bahama Breeze opened this week at Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge. The new restaurant offers island-inspired food and drinks, such as seafood, flame-grilled steaks and baby back ribs.
