Project Lead the Way Builds a Reputation at Woodbridge Senior High School

Most people know that Woodbridge Senior High School is the magnet school for the Center of Fine and Performing Arts, but most do not know that it also offers a specialty program in engineering for students outside of the Lake Ridge bus district. Project Lead the Way (PLW) is a national high school engineering program at WSHS offering four engineering classes, two digital engineering classes, and an architecture class. Right now, the program is led by three teachers and has about 140 students enrolled. Students generally take one PLW class per year, but can take more; doubling up if they join after their ninth grade year.
