Prince William County Police searching for three teens in investigation.
Police are searching for three people in an attempted break-in on Horizon Court in Woodbridge on Wednesday, according to Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok. Officers were notified of a potential buglary in progress at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of Horizon Court. A neighbor called police when she heard the sound of glass breaking from a nearby apartment, Perok said in a statement. "The caller observed three unknown males, all believed to be juveniles, standing to the rear of the residence," he said. "At the same time, another neighbor confronted the juveniles who then ran off." No entry was made into the apartment and no property was missing. Terence Gene Huskey, 31, of Dumfries was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and reckless handling of a firearm.
Under the belief that a neighbor had burglarized his home, Dumfries man took the law into his own hands by firing several shots into the neighbor's home, Prince William County Police said. Terence Gene Huskey, 31, of Taconic Circle in Dumfries was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and reckless handling of a firearm. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Friday, when police responded to the shooting. Officers learned of the burglary allegations at the scene on the 16200 block of Taconic Circle. A burglar armed with a knife recently assaulted a Lake Ridge homeowner, Prince William County Police said. The homeowner reported on Thursday at 10:42 a.m. that he was on the lower level of his home on the 12200 block of Aztec Place when his dogs started barking. He heard footsteps on an upstairs floor, checked on the noise, and found an unknown man in the home. The burglar assaulted the man and pulled out a knife. They struggled briefly and then the burglar fled on foot. $1,200 worth of jewelery was reported missing. Police are looking for a black man between 18-20 years old, about 6'1", 190 pounds, with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray shoes, gray pants and had a black mask on.

A Lake Ridge homeowner reported an unknown masked man assaulted him in his basement.
A burglar recently assaulted a Lake Ridge homeowner after the homeowner discovered the burglar in his home, according to police. The owner of a house on the 12000 block of Stallion Court reported finding an unknown, masked man in his basement just before 7 p.m. Nov. 10. The man assaulted the homeowner, then fled on foot, the homeowner said. The victim reported minor injuries. Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the home, and they believe the burglar entered through an unlocked door. Very little description of the burglar was available, but he was described as having a medium build and wearing a grey sweater, mask, white shoes and blue jeans.

Henry Osiris Villatoro, 23, of Dumfries, was arrested on charges of burglary, possession of burglarious tools and destruction of property.
A woman awoke in the early morning Wednesday to find her neighbor in the middle of burglarizing her home, Prince William County Police said. Henry Osiris Villatoro, 23, of Tebbs Lane, was charged with burglary, possesion of burglarious tools and destruction of property. Police responded to the woman's call on the 18200 block of Tebbs Lane in Dumfries at 1:14 a.m., when she reported the incident. The woman said that she was asleep in her bedroom when she woke up and saw her neighbor standing in her room, at the foot of the bed. Prince William County Police are investigating a report of a residential burglary in Woodbridge. A homeowner reported on Oct. 22 at 5:27 p.m. to police that the residence on the 16600 block of Fern Place was burglarized. A gaming console and equipment were stolen. The value of those items was about $500. The burglary likely occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. that day. The Prince William County Police Department responded to a report of a robbery on Wednesday.
A laptop was recently stolen from a Woodbridge home, according to Prince William County Police reports. A homeowner on the 3500 block of Veronica Lane reported that the burglary occurred between 10 p.m. Oct. 9 and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 10. Police believe that the burglar entered through an unlocked front door. There were no signs of forced entry. The laptop was valued around $420.

Three robberies occur in the space of two days.
Three apparently unconnected robberies took place in Woodbridge last week, according to Prince William County Police. 3900 block of Red Bird Ln: A homeowner reported that a burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Oct. 5. The burglar stole a laptop and a gaming console with equipment, which were valued around $1,000. There were no signs of forced entry, and police believe the burglar entered through an unlocked door. 14200 block of Lindendale Rd: A burglar forced open the rear door and stole two gaming consoles, jewelery, and other property, valued at $1,400. Two male juveniles allegedly broke into a Woodbridge home on Sunday, but apparently did not steal anything. The homeowner on the 11400 block of Bacon Race Rd. had just arrived home around 4:36 p.m. on Oct. 7, when he saw two male juveniles leaving through the garage. Police reports said when the juveniles saw the homeowner, they ran away. The two appeared to have entered the home through a rear window, which was broken out, police said. The homeowner did not report any property missing and did not provide a description of the suspects to the police.

A $12,000 custom bicycle was stolen from a Dumfries home this week, Prince William County Police said. The bike was stolen from the 2500 block of Oak Tree Lane on Oct. 5., between 1:30 a.m. and 1:35 a.m. There were not signs of forced entry, but the thief apparently entered through an open overhead garage door.
