Bio: Rachel is the local editor for Woodbridge Patch and Lake Ridge - Occoquan Patch. Originally from Northeast Ohio, she's lived in Northern Virginia for the past five years. Before working with Patch, she served as the town government reporter and the religion writer for the Loudoun Times-Mirror and wrote entertainment content for the Indie Magazine. Rachel receives her greatest satisfaction in allowing people to tell their own stories. When she pries herself away from her work, she enjoys finding new music, eating flatbread pizza, and geeking out over webcomics, science fiction novels, and Doctor Who. 

Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. I'm a registered Democrat, but I base my votes on issues, not political parties. I tend to lean libertarian.

Religion
I am a Christian, and currently attend an Episcopal church.
