Delegate, 51st House District, Virginia General Assembly.  Retired from the US Air Force as a full colonel after 30 years of service in early and elected in November 2009.  Member, House Finance Committee, House Transportation Committee, House General Laws Committee, and House Science & Technology Committee.  Deputy House Whip.  Chair, General Assembly Military and Veterans Caucus.  Chair, Virginia Commission on Civics Education.  Native Virginian (born/raised in Roanoke).  Graduated VT in 1979 (BA/Political Science) and Webster University in 1982 (MA/Public Administration).  Graduated UVA's Sorensen Institute on Political Leadership in 2009.
