Sidewalk Project Near Dillingham Square to be Completed This Year

The sidewalk construction along Old Bridge Road near Dillingham Square will be completed by the end of the year.

The construction is part of a larger project to put in sidewalks on both sides of Old Bridge Road.

"The section that's under construction now goes from Dillingham Square and it stops at Mohican," Occoquan District Supervisor Mike May said. "The goal would be to get it to run the length of Old Bridge Road on both sides."

This may be difficult, as some stretches of Old Bridge Road are not particularly welcoming to sidewalks.

"There are some sections where you can tell they weren't thinking about sidewalks at all," May said.

Other infrastructure projects in the works include widening the Prince William Parkway between Old Bridge Road and Minnieville Road.
