Personally Yours celebrates its 21st anniversary in Occoquan this weekend with a storewide sale. The sale begins Friday and ends Sunday.
Most items in the store will be 21 percent off, with a few exceptions, which will all be marked, employee Cheri Long said. Refreshments will include pineapple pecan chicken salad and strawberry lemonade.
The store started out on Commerce Street and moved to Mill Street almost eight years ago. Long has worked with Personally Yours for about 10 years.
"It feels like it's my own child here," she said. The owners, Ann Sweeney and Betsy Merklein, are "wonderful people to work for. They just do so many nice things for us."
Before starting Personally Yours, Sweeney and Merklein did craft shows together, and eventually decided to become partners. The store sells a variety of local and Americana-inspired items.
