Brandishing in Lake Ridge Area

On Jan. 10, a Woodbridge man claimed that another man brandished a handgun at him.

On Jan. 10, a Woodbridge man, 47, told police that he was in the Merchant Plaza parking lot when another man reportedly pointed a handgun at him.

The victim told police that, before the incident, he had been driving along Prince William Parkway behind a driver that was later identified as the accused. When he passed the vehicle and turned into the Merchant Plaza parking lot, the accused allegedly got out of his vehicle and pointed a handgun at the victim.

At this point, the victim was still in his car. He reportedly left the parking lot and called police.

The victim described the brandisher as a black male, 5'11", 165 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair.

Police responded to the incident at 9:35 p.m. They later obtained warrents for Noah Barfield of Woodbridge. Barfield is currently "wanted for brandishing and driving on a suspended driver's license," the police report read.
