Police: Woodbridge Woman Arrested After Fatal Crash

Reckless driving charge after victim dies from head injuries, according to Prince William County Police.

A woman was arrested after another Woodbridge woman died due to a head injury sustained in a car crash, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Ruth Del Carmen Zelaya Campos, 38, was charged with reckless driving. Her court date is unavailable, and she was released on summons.

A 2012 Toyota Tacoma reportedly crashed into a 2007 Toyota Scion on Feb. 4 at about 2 p.m.

Earnestine R. Larry, 58, a passenger in the Scion, did not ask for medical treatment at the time, but she was taken to the hospital later that evening.

"On Feb. 9, the victim reportedly succumbed to a head injury sustained as a result of the crash," Perok said. "No other significant injuries were reported. The investigation continues."

Peace to the family, but also a lesson in why one should always have a doctor examine you after a head injury as quickly as possible.

I so appreciate Rich Anderson's presence on this committee. My biggest question is why didn't anyoneRead More have a plan for jobs to take effect if these cuts happened. Did anyone calculate the expense to the economy that would occur from Sequestration or plan to offset that expense?

Stopped by for lunch yesterday and had the turkey-avocado BLT with sweet tea and fries -- delicious.Read More Dave and Eric, the new managers, are good, hardworking guys who I wish all the best in their new venture. As Earnie said, Dave and Sarah have developed a diverse and interesting menu, with some pleasant surprise offerings, the prices are reasonable and they're going to be open seven days a week for breakfast to dinner, something many other Occoquan restaurants don't do. Give them a try, and tell them Chuck the Foodie sent you.
