Two Pets Rescued From Basement Fire

OWL VFD responded to the report of a house fire last night.

On Jan. 13 at 6:40 p.m., Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Firefighters responded to a house fire reported on Greenhall Drive near Old Bridge Road, according to OWL VFD spokesperson Rebecca Barnes.

Firefighters rescued two family pets from the fire.

When the first units responded, they did not see any smoke or fire. Firefighters then located the fire in the basement, and had it under control within 20 minutes.

Dale City VFD and PWC Fire and Rescue also responded. The fire's damage was mostly kept to the basement.

The PWC Fire Marshal's office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
