Lake Ridge Bus Driver Charged With Assault Against Two Pre-Teen Boys

Minnie McBride was arrested May 13 and charged with assaulting two boys while they were on the bus at a Manassas school.

Lake Ridge resident and Prince William County school bus driver Minnie McBride, 49, was arrested May 13 and charged with assault and battery against a 10-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy, according to officer Jonathan Perok.

The boys were on the bus and in McBride's care around noon on May 13. When police responded shortly after noon, the bus was parked at Independent Hill School in Manassas, where both of the boys go to school. The boys were not injured.

It has not been determined what provoked the assault, but there was no fight going on between the boys, Perok said.
